PRESENTATION of the Project

Camino de Luz is a project of a sustainable life in a preserved area.

The objective is to strive for food and energy independence, with the rules of a simple life, co-creation, and co-responsibility.

The house is situated in the heart of Ribeira Sacra, south Galicia, Spain. The project is in process of creation since february 2018.

The persons interested to discover the place can come for one or two weeks as volunteers, after a first contact by videochat.

Languages spoken : spanish, english, french, galician.

VISION

ECOLOGY

Ecology applies to different aspects : self-respect, respect for others, for life and for the world.

The aim of Camino de Luz is to create an eco-sanctuary for biodiversity and peace.

Permaculture, edible forest, beekeeping and the loving care given to the sanctuary will allow life to grow and spread.

The restoring of houses will be done with the rules of energetic sobriety, efficiency, renewable energy and ecological materials.

SOCIAL

We find important to seek and find the right balance between personal needs and connection to others.

We use the technique of "Non-Violent Communication" to improve the communication and to resolve conflicts and the shared governance to enhance projects.

TRANSFORMATION

Here, we seek to adopt the right attitude, the right words, the right posture.

Attentive awareness shows us that every present moment contains everything offered for our experimentation.

Everyone formulates the intention to work towards self-realisation by reducing the effects of conditionings, analysing our judgments, being aware of our emotions, our needs and the needs of others.

This path is aiming for Unity through the fluidity of body, mind, and relationships, with the connection to the Presence and the heart opening.

THE PLACE

Hidden between the woods, we find in the heart of Ribeira Sacra (south Galicia) a small hamlet at 10 km from Monforte de Lemos.

A big house can welcome 2 volunteers and tourists in summer. Another house is to rebuilt. Around we have 3 hectares of land and the wood is very close.

ACTIVITIES

There are activities relied to build up the food supplies : farming, compost, preservation of the food ..

As always in the countryside, there is cleaning to do in the fields and woods.

Small works of renovation are also part of the work to do.

FOOD

As the main diet is not vegetarian, all dietary choices can be accepted, as long as they respect the principles of consciousness and ecology.

ANIMALS

There are already here 2 horses, 2 cats, rabbits and a turtledove.

The welcoming of new animals will be subject to a common decision. We don't accept dogs for the moment.
